How We Keep Your Event Photos & Videos Safe ?
At FINORT.EVENTS we understand that every moment captured during your event is invaluable. Whether it’s a corporate conference, a product launch, or a festival, ensuring the safety and security of your photo and video files is our top priority. From equipment preparation to the final delivery of your polished content, we implement multiple layers of protection to prevent data loss and keep your files secure. Here’s how we meticulously safeguard your event footage at every stage of the process:
1. Equipment Preparation Before the Event
Before we even step into the venue, we take careful steps to ensure we are fully prepared for any technical issues that may arise.
- Redundancy is Key: We always bring at least two camera bodies per team member—one primary camera and a backup camera. If we are covering both photography and videography, we ensure that we have at least four cameras (two for photography and two for video), plus backups in case of unexpected failures.
- Dual SD Card Slots for Instant Backup: Each of our cameras is equipped with dual SD card slots. This means that when we capture a photo or record a video, the footage is automatically written to two SD cards simultaneously—one serving as the primary card and the other as a backup. This feature is critical because SD cards can fail unexpectedly, and having a real-time duplicate ensures that no files are lost due to card corruption.
2. Secure Handling During the Event
During the event, we follow strict protocols to maintain data integrity:
- Frequent File Checks: Throughout the event, we periodically check the footage to ensure everything is being recorded properly.
- Safe Storage of SD Cards: We keep used SD cards in designated protective cases to prevent damage or accidental overwriting.
Our priority is not only capturing your event with high-quality imagery but also ensuring that the files remain intact and protected while we work.
3. Immediate Backup After the Event
Once the event concludes, our first action is to secure the footage in multiple locations to eliminate any risk of data loss.
- Transfer to Computer: As soon as we return to our studio, we immediately copy all files from the SD cards onto our main computer for editing and post-processing.
- SD Card Retention: We do not erase or format the SD cards until the final project is successfully delivered. Instead, the original files remain on the SD cards, which are stored in a dedicated drawer in our studio as an extra layer of protection.
- Multiple Copies for Redundancy: In addition to storing files on our main computer, we often create additional backups on external hard drives or cloud storage, ensuring that there are always at least two or three copies of the raw footage.
4. Post-Production Security & Delivery
While editing and post-processing, we continue to take steps to ensure file safety:
- Editing on a Secure Workstation: We use high-performance computers with reliable storage solutions to prevent crashes and data corruption.
- Final Backup Before Delivery: Before sending the completed project to the client, we maintain multiple backups of the final files, ensuring that if any issues arise with delivery, we can quickly resend the project without data loss.
- Safe File Transfer: We use secure file transfer services (such as Google Drive, WeTransfer, or private cloud storage) to deliver high-resolution files to our clients safely.
